Terms and Conditions for Scholar's Edge Test Prep Tutoring Services

By booking and participating in any tutoring services provided by Scholar's Edge, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Introduction

Scholar's Edge, its staff, and its employees (collectively referred to as "We,” "Our,” or "Scholar's Edge") provide personalized test prep services. "You" and "Your" refer to the client engaging with our services.
We reserve the right to change these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time. Any changes will be effective when posted on our website.

2. Session Scheduling and Cancellations

All sessions must be scheduled in advance through our online booking system or by direct communication with our team.
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations made within 12 hours will incur a cancellation fee of $40.
Sessions can be rescheduled at no charge if requested more than 24 hours in advance, subject to tutor availability.
Missing a session without prior notice will be treated as a "no-show" and billed at 100% of the session cost.

3. Payment and Pricing

All tutoring sessions must be paid in advance, individually or as part of a package.
Session rates are listed on the Scholar's Edge website and may be subject to change. However, if you have purchased a session bundle, the price will apply at the time of purchase.
Prepaid packages are valid for future sessions and cannot be applied to past unpaid sessions. Unused sessions in any package will expire after 12 months of inactivity and are non-refundable.
Fees may apply for missed or rescheduled sessions based on the cancellation policy.

4. Tutors

All of our tutors are qualified, authorized to work in the United States, and have passed criminal background checks.
If you are not satisfied with the tutor assigned, please contact Scholar's Edge within 24 hours of your first session for a free tutor reassignment. After the second session, all additional tutor changes will incur a charge for all time used.

5. Conduct and Behavior

Students and parents must maintain a respectful and professional demeanor during all sessions.
Scholar's Edge reserves the right to discontinue services to any student who is disruptive or does not comply with these Terms or any other rules and policies.

6. Confidentiality

All personal information provided by students and parents will remain confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of delivering tutoring services.
Scholar's Edge will not share personal information with third parties unless required by law or authorized by you.

7. Liability

While we provide the highest level of support, Scholar's Edge does not guarantee specific outcomes, such as test score improvements or admission to any educational institution.
Scholar's Edge is not responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries that may occur during tutoring sessions, whether in-person or online.

8. Refunds and Guarantees

Refunds are available only if you are not satisfied after your first session and we are unable to provide a suitable replacement tutor. In such cases, remaining prepaid sessions will be refunded.
Once a tutoring session has been scheduled or completed, payments are non-refundable.
We do not guarantee specific results from tutoring services, including admission to educational institutions or improved test scores.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Scholar's Edge reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to all customers via email or through the website.
By continuing to use our services, you agree to be bound by the most current version of these Terms and Conditions.

10. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Any disputes arising from these Terms or services provided by Scholar's Edge will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Disputes must be settled through court-ordered mediation, and any litigation shall take place in the courts of Texas. The non-prevailing party will be responsible for reasonable attorney fees and court costs.

11. Service Modifications and Termination

Scholar's Edge reserves the right to modify or terminate services at its discretion, with appropriate notice as required by law.

12. Photography and Promotional Use

Scholar's Edge may take photographs during sessions for use in promotional materials or on our website. If you do not wish for your photos to be used, please notify us in writing.
